First time for everything!

Greetings All!  Time for an update on the last few weeks! Since the last post our container of supplies we sent out to Bluffton, IN in the fall came in, we hired our Haitian employees, started our language lessons, first day of school, first Dr. visit, first Haitian birthdays/holidays and had our first visitors from the US! Lots of firsts!  We are feeling more and more settled and at home here.  We have all had a hard day here and there, but overall things are going very well. Thanks to the Lord and your prayers for that!

This was such a happy sight!!! This container held our household supplies, as well as hospital's and fellow missionary's supplies.  It came about a week after we arrived, perfect timing!

It took a few days to get unpacked and somewhat organized.

Unpacked some family photos, Henry found "Pa" Grandpa's!
A beautiful afternoon we took a picture from Dr. Pat's roof.
This was a conversation one day...Tuck: That was my chair. Lane: It's God's chair, you're supposed to share what you have with others.  I guess something is getting through :)
Lizard hunting
Feeling at home in the campus woodshop!
First day of "Haitian Missionary Kid's School"
New friends...jumping in the rain at Plattner's.
First visit with Dr. Guito, Cy liked him!!
Not sure of spelling, but this is Madam Amilca (housekeeper), Madam Monavil (cook) and Elefranz (gardener).  They are all Christians and wonderful people!  They were very thankful to get a job.
Cy must be noticing the "Haitian carry!"

First Haitian Birthdays for Lane and Tuck! Our 15th Anniversary, a missionary wife brought us a heart shaped cookie!
Mom and Dad Steidinger and Chad came March 3-10, we had a great week!!
Experiencing Cayes Market, you have to see to believe!!
 Walk to church

Language lessons
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee..."
Isaiah 26:3

God bless each of you, keep us in your prayers!
Until next time, Lucas & Raya, Alayna, Tucker, Cy and Henry.

  6. Mrs. Medina here with all of Tucker's 5th grade classmates! We greatly miss Tucker, but are pleased to see that he is doing well. The students are a bit jealous that he is in shorts and we had to put our snow boots on today. We are wishing you all the best of luck!
